Located in the pharmaceutical heart of Hyderabad (Cherlapally),our facility serves as the primary R&D and pilot hub for our global partners. We have invested in high-spec equipment to handle a diverse range of chemical transformations, ensuring that we can support your project from milligram discovery to multi-kilogram pilot production.
The Synthesis Lab: Precision at Scale
Our main synthesis laboratory is built to handle the rigorous demands of synthetic organic chemistry. The Lab Infrastructure is optimised for airflow, safety, and productivity.
- 13 High-Performance Fume Hoods: These hoods are the frontline of our safety protocol, designed with constant air volume (CAV) systems to protect our chemists while handling volatile and hazardous reagents.
- Rotary Evaporators (3 Units): Essential for efficient solvent recovery and concentration, allowing us to maintain high throughput during the purification stages of process development.
- Hydrogenation & High-Pressure Setup: We utilize specialized Autoclaves (up to 5L) for catalytic hydrogenations and reactions requiring elevated pressure, a critical capability for the synthesis of complex intermediates.

Many modern APIs and agro-intermediates require extreme conditions. FSC LLP is equipped to navigate these challenges:
- Cryogenic Chemistry (-80°C): Our lab features specialized setups for low-temperature reactions, such as lithiations using n-Butyllithium (nBuLi) or Methyllithium (MeLi). Controlling these highly exothermic reactions at cryogenic temperatures is one of our core technical strengths.
- High-Temperature Reactions (+350°C): For cyclizations and specialized thermal rearrangements, our equipment can sustain stable high temperatures, ensuring complete conversion and high purity.
- Organometallic Expertise: We have dedicated areas for the preparation and handling of moisture-sensitive and pyrophoric reagents, including Grignard reagents and metal hydrides (LAH, NaH).
Scale-Up and Pilot Plant Capabilities
Bridging the Gap from Lab to Plant
One of the biggest hurdles in the chemical industry is the "scale-up risk." FSC LLP eliminates this risk through our in-house pilot capabilities.
- Lab Scale-Up: We routinely perform 1kg to 5kg scale-ups in-house, allowing for the generation of enough material for initial toxicity studies or field trials.
- Pilot Volumes: Our facility supports pilot volumes up to 20 liters, utilizing glass assemblies that allow our chemists to visually monitor reaction behavior, crystallization, and precipitation—insights that are lost in stainless steel reactors.
Mechanical & Thermal Engineering Support
We don't just look at the chemistry; we look at the physics of the reaction.
- Agitator & Mixing Studies: We select agitator types (anchor, propeller, or turbine) based on the viscosity and solids-handling requirements of your specific process.
- Heat Transfer Evaluation: Our engineers calculate heat transfer coefficients to ensure that the "heat of reaction" can be safely managed at a commercial scale.
Safety and Process Assessment
The"What-If" Philosophy
Safety is not an afterthought at FSC LLP; it is a prerequisite. Before any project moves from the lab to a larger vessel, we conduct a formal Process Safety Assessment.
Calorimetry Studies: We evaluate the thermal stability of starting materials, intermediates, and final products.
P&ID and PFD Development: Every scale-up project is accompanied by detailed Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams, ensuring a smooth technology transfer to our manufacturing partners.
