David A. Galardi, Pharm.D.

Dr. Galardi is an FSC consulting expert and also the founder of PaydHealth and Apogenics, Inc.
Prior to forming PaydHealth Dr. Galardi led Apogenics, a diversified healthcare marketing and advisory firm, focused on managed markets, brand commercialization and driving efficiencies in healthcare operations.
Before forming Apogenics, he was Vice President of Corporate Development at AmerisourceBergen (NYSE:ABC), a Fortune 15 company and distributor of specialty pharmaceuticals and services to the physician specialist and specialty pharmaceutical markets. He led product development and marketing teams focused on specialty markets. Before this role, he was Director of Trade Development for Bergen Brunswig Corporation where he crafted strategies and led the tactical implementation of enhanced compensation models between wholesalers and manufacturers.
Dr. Galardi has worked for Aetna as Product Director, where he was responsible for a variety of clinical, quality and strategic sales functions. Previously he was Director, National Programs and Business Development for Prudential HealthCare, where he was a leader in the formation of the three and four-tier pharmacy benefit design. Dr. Galardi was also Director of Pharmacy Programs for Prudential HealthCare. He has developed successful programs for autoimmune, neurology, oncology and the first coverage policy for multi-drug treatment of HIV disease management. He has chaired various benefits coverage, pharmacy and therapeutics, and health policy committees within a number of managed care organizations. He has significant experience related to NCQA\HEDIS, outcomes management. Previous to his managed care endeavors, Dr. Galardi was a clinical pharmacist for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and its Department of Neurology where he was responsible for the infectious disease drug-monitoring program and pediatric drug evaluation programs focused on oncology and neurology.
He has a deep knowledge of global market access challenges for pharmaceuticals, biologics, and diagnostics. He assists his clients with negotiations, determining fair market value (FMV) and helping them build processes that are measurable through analytics. Dr. Galardi is a recognized expert in the development of market access and commercial strategies focused on the managed care, specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and specialty infusion channels. He has authored over one-hundred fair market value opinions in the areas of pharmaceutical contracting, service agreements, and direct and indirect remuneration for rebate administrative services. This experience led to concept of organizing the alternate funding market to assist self-insured payers and their beneficiaries meet financial needs.
He has spoken at over 200 meetings for various professional societies and is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of drug marketing and pricing, health and drug policy, healthcare cost management, fair market value analysis, and financial risk management associated with healthcare. He has advised commercial teams in over 100 companies, representing over 250 distinct specialty pharmaceutical brands within the pharmaceutical and biologics market.
He trained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) after receiving his Bachelors and Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He also graduated the Outcomes Institute Program of the University of South Carolina and the University of Southern California Graduate School of Management – Management Development Program in Healthcare.
